This year's Compiègne Antiques Fair will take place in the Salles Saint-Nicolas, the old Hôtel-Dieu which was built under the reign of Saint Louis and which is a quietly charming building, concealing magnificent splendour behind the stone walls.About twenty exhibitors from all over France will be displaying furniture from the 17th to the 19th centuries, earthenware and ornaments, jewels and rugs, porcelain, silverware and gold-plated objects, paintings and sculptures, and so on, throughout the four rooms.
